Who is Neal Kinsey?
Often referred to as the ‘consultant’s consultant’ Neal Kinsey of ‘Kinsey Ag’ in Missouri USA is the foremost authority on the Albrecht soil fertility system in the world today.
Since his early days as a protégé of Dr William. A. Albrecht, Neal has kept true to a system that focuses on building soil health in agriculture while achieving top yields.
Working in over 75 countries around the world, Neal is highly respected as someone with vast knowledge of soils, and a person with the ability to pass on much of this knowledge via the various courses he runs.
Over the last nearly 20 years, Golden Bay Dolomite (GBD) has been instrumental in organising and sponsoring the Albrecht/Kinsey courses here in New Zealand. These have ranged from the base ‘introductory’ 3-day course through to the higher level ‘Advanced’ courses, which have been held at venues across the country.
As a company, GBD provides soil fertility advice via our Kinsey-trained consultants. We work in many different sectors, from deer, sheep and beef and dairy to horticultural crops like winegrapes, hops and apples to achieve the best results from your land.
The Albrecht system relies heavily on accurate soil analysis to achieve the best results. Neal Kinsey works closely with Perry Agricultural Laboratories in Missouri (PAL), the recognised Albrecht lab, which provides data that partners with the calculations required under the Albrecht soil fertility system.
It is to Perry labs that soils from New Zealand are sent for the same reason: to achieve the best results.
Neal is always in there to support advocates of the Albrecht system no matter where they are in the world. We all live on the same planet, so the Albrecht rules apply no matter what your farm soil type.
We are fortunate to have Neal Kinsey returning to the Marlborough wine region in July this year, so don’t miss this opportunity to come along and learn from someone who has a lifetime of working with the soil.
